When should we eat? How often should we eat? Especially when we are trying to lose weight the amount of food we eat and when we eat it is important.
It is proven that eating right can boost your metabolism. You want to eat a good nutritious breakfast to get your metabolism going. Food is fuel for our metabolism. The more often we eat, the higher our metabolism will be. Experts say we should eat 5-6 small meals a day to keep our metabolism going. Also, if we eat smaller meals during the day, you will be less likely to overeat at night. The time of day is also important. If you are going to stay up late and need a snack make sure it is a healthy snack.
There is a debate about what time you should stop eating at night. Some have said two hours before you go to bed, while others have said do not eat anything after 6pm. When we sleep, our metabolism and heart rate slows down and you are not able to burn as many calories as earlier in the day. Calories that are not burned turn to fat. At night most of us are sitting around the television, and soon we get bored, so we start to eat snack.
If at night you become hungry, drink water. Often times when we think we are hungry, we are actually thirsty. Our body doesn’t know the difference between hunger and thirst signals. Any person who is looking to lose weight should be drinking at least a gallon of water a day. Water will help your skin to be moist and supple. It also takes away the fat that has been burned during the day. Sodas, juices, coffee, and tea should not be used to replace water. Coffee and tea will actually make you lose the water you body needs to work. Sodas and juices have too much sugar in them. Drinking water can help you to keep your metabolism going so you can burn more calories. Drinking a tall glass of cold water with each meal can help with the digestion of your food so it can be turned into energy and not fat.
Experts tell us to eat a majority of our calories when we are most active and have the most energy. So that leads to eating bigger breakfast and lunches while eating a smaller dinner with small energy snacks in between. A good snack is a whey protein shake. Whey protein is a good healthy snack. It is dairy based so your body can digest it easier and you get the protein benefits faster than soy proteins. Also whey protein isolates have 90% pure protein, more than concentrates, so you have less fat and calories than other types of proteins. Whey protein creates lean muscle. Lean muscle is what burns your calories while your body is resting.
Don’t get hung up about when to stop eating. Remember to eat your meals with moderation so you don’t overeat. A good rule of thumb for when you should stop eating is to give yourself enough time for your food to digest and your metabolism to burn off the calories.

Tags: eyesWith the development of economic and science, competition is becoming fiercer and fiercer and people’s pressure is stronger and stronger. In order to face these competitions and pressures, people are working harder and harder and students are studying more and more diligently. As a serious result of this, more and more people are becoming shortsighted.
Here I want to give some suggestions to those who are lucky enough to have good eyesight. And I hope they can protect their eyes well.
- Even if your work or study is very hectic, you should make good use of your limited time to give your eyes a relaxation. You can do eye exercise and do facial massage. Or you can watch something from a long distance.
- Don’t stay for a long time in front of the computer. And you might as well give your computer some ant radiation equipment, such as a diaphragm which can reduce and absorb radiation.
- Pay attention to your diet. Try to develop a healthy habit of diet. You can eat some internal organs of animals for these things can help you protect your eyes.
- Neither read under strong sunlight, nor under dim light. You shouldn’t read while lying on bed. A good habit of reading is very important if you want to keep your eyes healthy.
- Keeping your eyes clean is also necessary. Don’t let any dirty things going into your eyes. Even if some dirt goes into your eyes, you mustn’t use your hands to rub them.
Please remember only if you pay attention to your habit of using eyes in daily life, you may have good eyesight.
For those people who have already been shortsighted, I want to say that if you are wearing a pair of eyeglasses, you must choose your glasses carefully. A good pair of glasses can not only help you see things clearly, but also can give you a great hand to protect your eyes.
I am also shortsighted, and I recently have changed a new pair of glasses which was bought online. Glasses there have high qualities but are at low price. You can go Glassesshop and have a look.

Tags: blood, Cancer, lung cancerIn year 2007, United States was already approved Avastin as a first line lung cancer treatment for patients with advance non small cell lung cancer in combination with platinum based echemotherapy.
Avastin is indicated for the first-line treatment of unresectable, locally advanced, recurrent or metastatic non–squamous non–small cell lung cancer in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel.
Based on the drug maker Roche said that avastin is the only first-line treatment to demonstrate improved survival benefits beyond one year in patients with advanced lung cancer and is the first treatment that inhibits angiogenesis, which is the growth of a network of blood vessels that supply nutrients and oxygen to cancerous tissues.
Avastin targets a naturally occurring protein called VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor), a key mediator of angiogenesis, thus choking off the blood supply that is essential for the growth of the tumor and its spread throughout the body.
According to Land Mark US study, avastin is the first medicine proven to help previously untreated patients suffering from the most common form of lung cancer to live longer than a year. There result showed that the duration of survival lung cancer patients who took in the Avastin with carboplatin chemotherapy group was 12.3 months compared to 10.3 months in the group treated with chemotherapy alone. Which extended lung cancer patients with 2 more months.
Avastin is the first and only anti-angiogenic agent to have demonstrated improved overall and/or progression-free survival in four major tumour types, namely: colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer and renal cell carcinoma.
In year 2006, American Society of Clinical Oncology announced that avastin combination with erlotinib was delivered with promising preliminary results in the treatment of refractory non-small cell lung cancer in data. Based on the study, the 17.9% response rate with the avastin-erlotinib combination was better than the 12.5% rate seen in patients treated with avastin and chemotherapy and the 12.2% rate seen in those treated with chemotherapy alone.
Avastin inhibits the growth of blood vessels, which is part of the body’s normal healing and maintenance. The body grows new blood vessels in wound healing, and as collateral circulation around blocked or atherosclerotic blood vessels. One concern is that avastin will interfere with these normal processes, and worsen conditions like coronary artery disease or peripheral artery disease.
The main side effects are hypertension and heightened risk of bleeding. Bowel perforation has been reported. In advanced lung cancer, less than half of patients qualify for treatment. Brain capillary leak syndrome, nasal septum perforation, and renal thrombotic microangiopathy have been reported.
