    Hey! Super size that, will ya? Weight loss, yea right. It seems like a bigger and bigger percentage of Americans are overweight and very few seem to want to do anything about it. We read every day of the dangers of being overweight and what it does to our bodies. Still yet, people continue to gorge themselves on all kinds of unhealthy food. You go into a fast food joint and you see some fatty sitting there woof’n down a cheeseburger and fries (super sized of course), and you know what?… they’re probably drinking a diet soft drink. I’ve seen that actually happen. I guess they think they off-set each other.

    Anyway there is a ton of programs out there claiming to be the best weight loss plan on the planet. The fact that your reading this article, I know you have probably tried a few of them already. I don’t need to name any of them but we know the low-cals, low carbs, low fats, and so on and so on. Your counting calories, measuring portions, weighing yourself every morning happy to see a measly pound of loss. Looking at yourself in the mirror to see if your losing that roll around your gut. You see some hunk with rippling muscles and six-pack abs or some hottie on the beach in a bikini with a tight butt and bulging boobs and think, “geez, I hate those people.” Depressing huh? Well let your heart not be troubled my friend.

    It’s not your fault. You’ve been subconsciously duped into it. You see, you’ve probably got a friend or relative that’s a metabolism burning calorie burning fat blaster that can eat or drink anything they want. You hang out with them and you automatically end up munching on the same stuff and your body is not made up to handle it like theirs is. They order another pizza, some cheese nachos, a couple pitchers of beer and you can’t help but partake. It seems like a never ending spiral down into the depths of gaining weight and ugly fat. Well, here’s what you need to do. Besides needing a weight loss plan that’s doable there’s two things you need to do first.

    The first thing you can start immediately is with mental affirmations. With the mental affirmations all you do is start telling yourself “I don’t need this extra piece of pizza” or that next handful of nachos or another glass of beer. Make mental notes of what’s healthy and what’s not. They say it takes about three weeks to reprogram, but before you know it you’ll just automatically reduce your intake and make healthier choices.

    The second is a colon cleanse. It gets rid of parasites and tapeworms. These are ugly little critters living in your colon. They live off of their host with that host being you. They feed off of the nutrients that your body needs to operate at it’s optimum and burn the fat that we need to get rid of. They make your liver and colon toxic and inefficient.     There’s a lot of talk on the Net about eye exercises. Many websites promote programs designed to train the eyes and make claims that these exercises may improve your vision and even cure eye conditions such as myopia (nearsightedness). Sounds great, but are these claims trustworthy?

    Let’s be honest. Approach these programs with caution before you purchase any. There is a lot of good that eye exercises can do, but studies have not supported the claims that doing eye exercises will help cure refractive problems like myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) or astigmatism. These conditions occur because of a problem with the shape of the eyeball and there is no proof whatsoever that this shape changes when you do exercises. So, can you rebuild vision with eye exercises? No

    But as I said, it does not mean it is not useful to keep you eyes in shape. Exercising your eyes can help your eye muscles remain strong and healthy. This makes sure your eyes move properly and help you maintain your peripheral vision. You can also prevent lazy eye.

    Probably the most important benefit of doing eye exercises is to refresh tired and strained eyes. As many of us work on computers all day long, our eyes get a lot of strain. Doing many of the exercises and then spending a few moments with your eyes closed will help lubricate the surface of the eye.

    Here are three sample exercises that help:

    • Close your eyes and cup your hands over them for a few minutes, allowing them to relax and lubricate. Blinking several times in a row also helps your eyes lubricate.
    • An exercise that really works for your eye muscles is to look at a wall and pretend to write. Move your eyeballs as if they were holding the pencil. Do not turn your head. With a little practice, this exercise is actually a lot of fun. Try to make the letters big for the best work out.
    • Another great one is to take a pen and hold it out at arm’s length. Focus and count to ten. Now bring it a few inches closer, focus and count to ten. Repeat, bringing it closer each time until it is at the tip of your nose, focusing each time until the pen is clear.

    Doing a few quick eye exercises will help your eyes to be less tired at the end of the day. That’s good news for all of us. But don’t think that you can throw away your glasses or contact lenses after you have bought a package of eye exercises.

    Inflammatory heart disease manifests when the surrounding heart tissue or muscle is inflamed from exposure to an infection like a bacteria or virus or from an internal oddity. This sort of inflammation may come about in cases of rheumatic fever and kawasaki disease. The disorder may be categorized as either endocarditis, myocarditis or pericarditis.

    Types of Inflammatory Heart Disease

    Pericarditis

    The heart is engulfed by a sac called the pericardium. The sac is composed of two layers the fibrous pericardium and the serous pericardium. The serous pericardium consists of two layers which both provide lubrication to the active heart to decrease friction. The fibrous pericardium is the outer layer of dense connective tissue that secures the heart to the bordering walls, prevents the complete flooding of the heart with blood and protects the heart.

    There are many instances where pericarditis manifests without a known cause however, there are some factors that will stimulate the disease including:

    1.Viral and bacterial infections

    2.Connective tissue disease such as sarcoidosis and rheumatoid arthritis

    3.Previous injury to the heart like heart attack, trauma and heart surgery

    4.Metabolic disorders mainly hypothyroidism and uremia (kidney failure)

    5.An adverse reaction to a specific type of medication

    6.Tumours and cancers

    Endocarditis

    Endocarditis is triggered by an infection of the endocardium or inner lining of the heart resulting in consequential inflammation. It usually manifests when pathogens from other areas of the body enter the bloodstream and attaches to weakened areas of the heart. If is not treated it may partially or completely ruin the heart valves and may also progress into a life- threatening condition. The disease rarely affects individuals with healthy hearts. The greatest risk factors are deterioration in the condition of the heart, artificial heart valve and having any other heart defect.

    Myocarditis

    Myocarditis refers to inflammation of the heart muscle. It is induced by several infections including viruses like sarcoidosis, pregnancy, and immune diseases. The most common form of infection is by a virus which will attack the heart muscle inspiring local inflammation. Once the infection has ceased the immune response will be perpetuated, lengthening the duration of the myocarditis.

    Symptoms

    It may sometimes occur with no symptoms. The most often seen symptom is pain in the chest. In severe cases the disease may cause deterioration of the heart muscle. It is consequently possible for it to cause heart failure with evident shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, oedema, extreme tiredness and so on.

    Prognosis

    It is not known from the outset of the disease how well an individual will recover. Some persons recover completely while others may develop chronic heart failure due to considerable damage to the heart muscles. Rarely a person may be afflicted with fulminant heart failure which is lethal if a heart transplant is not performed. If the damage to the muscle is extreme a defibrillator may be implanted to increase the heart’s overall capacity.

    It seems like these days people are struggling to get fit more than ever. Everywhere you look there is a new diet, new fad piece of equipment, or new so-called magical pill that will get you a hard body that is worthy of this months issue of Women’s Fitness or GQ magazine. This is all bogus crap that is causing you to waste more of your time watching it than getting anything done that is going to result in your real progress. Fitness has to be a good old fashion lifestyle choice. It has to be a daily “way of life” for you to make any progress in your attempt to achieve the goals you desire the most.

    Fitness Tips That Work!

    1. Nutrition: This may seem like an obvious one, but it doesn’t have to be rocket science! Forget trying to get a so-called diet that “works” like the South Beach Diet or Atkins Diet. These are fads that cause you to make drastic changes in your personal eating habits which aren’t necessarily fitting if you are just living a healthy lifestyle the way you should be in the first place. For a healthy nutrition plan lets go back to the advice you got when you were a child. Your parents probably encouraged you to eat that apple instead of the snickers bar. They would rather you had drank that water rather than the soda. They were probably encouraging you to eat enough of your vegetables at the dinner table before they rewarded you with dessert. This is the same logic as if you had a flat tire on your car and you went over to try to inflate it by blowing into the valve stem with the air from your lungs. It just isn’t going to happen. You see where I am coming from. In order to get that weight off you have got to go walk some stairs, move your body, or attempt some body weight exercises that will get your heart pumping and your pores sweating! This is a true tip to improve your health. Tips to better your workouts are simple. All you have to do is make smart choices. Remember to train hard, but always train smart!
